Chemical Peels

Chemical peels use medical-grade acid solutions to safely exfoliate the top layers of skin, revealing smoother, brighter, and more even-toned skin underneath. They stimulate cell turnover and collagen production for a refreshed complexion, targeting pigmentation, acne scars, dullness and fine lines.

Which Areas can be treated?

The face, neck & décolletage area with pigmentation, texture concerns or dullness.

Who is the Treatment Ideally for?

Adults 18+ wanting to improve:

  • Sun damage & pigmentation

  • Acne scarring & active breakouts

  • Fine lines & wrinkles

  • Dull or uneven skin tone

  • Enlarged pores or rough texture

Suitable for most skin types (including darker tones with the correct peel strength). A patch test and consultation will confirm the best option for you.

Downtime

  • Superficial peels: 0–3 days redness/flaking (make-up can usually be worn next day)

  • Medium-depth peels: 5–7 days of visible peeling/redness

What to Expect during the Treatment

A relaxing 20–40 minute appointment in which the skin is cleansed, the peel applied (you’ll feel a warm/tingling sensation), then neutralised and soothed with a medical grade mask. Most clients find it very comfortable.

What to Expect after the Treatment

Skin may feel tight and look pink for 24–48 hours, then light flaking/peeling begins around day 3.

By day 7–10 you’ll see brighter, smoother, glowing skin. Best results from a course of 3–6 peels, 4 weeks apart.

Things you should / should not do prior to Treatment

Do:   Hydrate well; stop retinoids/AHAs 5–7 days before and avoid sun exposure

Don't:   Wax, laser, or have active cold sores and no recent Roaccutane use (within 6–12 months)

Contraindications

Pregnancy/breastfeeding · active cold sores · open wounds · recent facial surgery · certain autoimmune conditions · allergy to aspirin/salicylates (for some peels). Full list discussed in consultation.

Aftercare

  • Use gentle cleanser & rich moisturisers

  • Strict SPF 50 daily (essential)

  • No picking or exfoliating skin while peeling
